BonusRadar independently collects and scores casino bonuses available in the Irish market. Below we explain transparently where our data comes from, how each bonus's score is calculated, and how casinos are ranked. Our goal is for every rating to be verifiable and traceable.
How we collect data
We collect data directly from operators' official pages — never from intermediaries or secondary sources. This ensures the terms match what a player actually sees after registering.
- Official source. Every data point comes from that casino's own official website.
- Currency check. We confirm a localised view so we see terms in euros (EUR), not another market's default currency.
- No invented information. We only fill in fields based on a confirmed source. If a term isn't available, we leave it blank — we never fill it in with a guess.
- Freshness. Offers are automatically re-checked, and every bonus carries the date it was last checked.
What we score (0–100)
Every bonus is scored on a fixed 0–100 scale based on five independent factors. Each factor either passes or doesn't — missing information never causes an error, it's handled by the rule below. The weights favour the terms that matter most to a player.
| Criterion | Points |
|---|---|
| Free spins (as part of the bonus) | +25 |
| Bonus amount ≥ €450 | +25 |
| Wagering requirement ≤ 35× (or none) | +20 |
| Minimum deposit ≤ €15 (or none) | +15 |
| No cashout limit | +15 |
| Maximum | 100 |
Thresholds are calibrated separately for each currency — without artificial conversion. Scoring is always based on the currency the bonus is shown in.
How we rank casinos
A casino's score is the average of its active bonuses: we add up every bonus's score and divide by the number of active offers. The ranking therefore reflects the whole offer, rather than letting one outlier bonus artificially boost a position. A verbal rating is also attached to the score:
- 85–100 — Excellent
- 70–84 — Good
- 55–69 — Fair
- 0–54 — Weak
What we check before adding a listing
Before a casino or bonus appears on the site, we check a few basic conditions:
- Licence. The casino's licence is noted on the brand profile.
- Official source. We only accept an operator's own official pages as a data source.
- EUR support. We confirm the casino supports play in euros.
What we're still building
We're constantly expanding our methodology. We plan to add the following criteria as soon as we can verify them reliably:
- Payment methods and payout speed
- Mobile experience and app quality
- Game selection and game providers
- Irish-based customer support
These factors are not yet part of scoring — we'll add them once the information is confirmed and reliable. We prefer fewer measurable factors over accuracy compromised for coverage.
Updates and transparency
Our methodology is a living document: every time we refine scoring, we record the significant changes here. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent update.
